  • Hello Number 3, What's your name and where do you come from?

Modesty prevents me using No.1 and number 2 was never the memorable character If no one remembers Cilla and BD I apologise for the lousy intro to my intro

I've been lurking for a couple of weeks, Pantomimehorse has been talking about the forum for a while and encouraging me to sign up so here I am.

I smoked my first cigar about 20 years ago, actually you may kick me out when I say it was Hamlet slim panatella but as a 17yr old it was as cool as my allowance would allow Until recently I've only ever really smoked Cohibas, some would say one extreme to another but I feel it's about time I branched out and discovered more of the glorious world of cigars.

I apologise in advance for the myriad of questions I am bound to leave littered around here, I've been reading lots but sometimes it seems that all the information raises two more questions for every one it answers

Welcome! You'll never learn unless you ask questions.

On an unrelated note, it always amuses me how every new member has used the casino lots.

Welcome Mr. O. There's never a daft question. Believe me, I keep asking them.

Hi Mr Omneo, we are a broad church here, no question baulked, although you might like to save the really crazy ones for the Mexican.

Hah! I feel like a right fool now. We all had ours reset to $1500 a short while back and I assumed that's what new members would start with. Oops...

What made you move from Hamlets to Cohibas, Sir?

                      luck and ignorance.

I worked in a bar and a wealthy Arab customer gave me a Cohiba as a tip, at first I thought he was a cheapskate until I discovered it was worth about ?30 (which seemed a fortune to me back in 1990!). I did find it a bit on the strong side but it opened my eyes and taste buds to the world outside the rubbish that is pub cigars.

However as I didn't really know anything about what was available, whenever I went shopping I just always picked a Cohiba.

Good place to be, my friend.

Have you tried any of the fabulous also-rans?

I'm thinking Montecristo, Juan Lopez, Partagas, Hoyo de Monterrey, Bolivar, Ramon Allones for starters?...

Chris is something of a cigar-bollocker so he will have herfing ideas!

A wonderful thing is that a new recommendation can take you on a brand new route.

I think I'm enjoying Juan Lopez No2 more than my cherished dildos, the Partagas D4, at present.

                        Anyway...
Welcome to the members' saloon of one of the sweetest pleasures around, Om...
