They are bad for your health, can't get around that fact unforunately.

Stick to smoking in moderation and don't inhale and this will lesson the effects.

I can't remember where I read this - but I'm sure Anwer Bati was one of the writers - and it stuck in my mind.

I read that most cigar smokers are men, and that the average age for taking up the habit is 35. This is (in the artcle I read) because men have come to realise their successes by this age, and the habit represents a form of contentment and a celebration of success.

I've been "at it" since I was 18 or 19, really, so must have been precociously happy!

It was great! The weather was a bit dodgy but it didn't stop us enjoying ourselves. I love being in France, talking French, enjoying the different and more generous attitude to eating, drinking - and to smoking, to be frank.

I admire the way the French don't give a shit about certain things, and yet they seem more civilised (overall) than we Brits.

I work in Product engineering, but besides that I am the happiest now than I have ever been!! but i think thats because I have had a change in attitude towards life more than anything, I think as you get older (I’m 37) that you definitely mellow out, I was a complete annoying hyper active twat when I was younger!! I’m still annoying but not so much of the hyper twat now!!

A bit like they don't care about capitulating against the Germas and forming a Nazi-loving anti-British Vichy government? Nah feck em :P

I meant sitting on a cafe terrace watching the folk go by and enjoying a decent stogie, really. You can do that over there, but if you enjoy a smoke outside a cafe in Canterbury, for example, twattish people start waving their arms about.

Yeah. Vichy wasn't good, but I like the foie gras.

I was about to say exactly the same thing deano. However...military cowardice aside its a pretty cool country. I usually end up working down in Cannes and Paris a couple of nights a year and they really do know how to do classy!
