Sounds great Harry; I have never seen it being done, but I can imagine there would be a lot of skill and knowledge involved to roll some of the more complex Vitolas.

And then you get to smoke it as well! Great experience.

        Senor Harry,

Freshly rolled cigars/puros are great fun and enjoyable smokes, depending on the quality of the tobaco, of course. What kind was used in yours?

After 30 days or so, they start of ferment again and in general, need to rest for a year or more to reduce the level amonia emitted during fermention.

I just finished a fine habana puro that was rolled last week by a cuban legend now working in the Cayman Islands. I plan to smoke a few over the next few week then let the rest sit in my humi for a year before I spark them up.

Names TJ, TJCoro, and there's nothing like smoking a freshly rolled puro.

Cuban tobacco - don't know which part of the island - the leaves were light tan in colour. Armando Risoto is a Partagas roller, making robustos.

I like to inhale at least a little of everything, and found no harshness there whatsoever. It's the type of puro I'd like to breakfast on every day!

Thanks for the detail... next time round, I'll smoke then lay some down. Keen to check out the difference(s) after maturation.

          Hasta pronto

Thanks Mr. O - had one of those RyJ Puritos with a 'con leche' to start the day - yep, I'll do that again!
