  • Thermostat for a fan

Bit of advice needed here gents.

Got a PC fan I'm going to use to ventilate a humidor I'm building as a means to try and control temperature somewhat. The idea being it's hooked up too a thermostat and switches on once it hits say 21 degrees. I'm not sure what I'd need for the thermo stat. I was wondering if any of you enlightened individuals would know what's necessary to make this work.

    Thanks gents

Thanks rascal, they seem a bit heavy duty! Found one that's not 12VDC the rest is 220VAC, was hoping to run this lot off a battery or two. May have to rethink the idea

A fan isn't going to bring the temperature down below that of the room its situated in. In fact I think it could raise it slightly

True but this is made out of glass in parts and periodically may catch the sun so the room may not be as warm as inside the cabinet.

To be honest I've questioned to validity of the idea anyhow
