  • *The Thread of Quotes*

So, a little thread to quotes that either mean something to you, make you laugh, make you cry, inspire you....in fact, any and all human emotions!

I love quotes as they are very concise at times. They can cut through steel with a tip of a pen, quill, pencil...Heck, you guys get it.

Anyhow, hope this gets added to daily. One thing, please quote the person that has said the quote....Expand our minds

''Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; The most massive characters are seared with scars....''

We do not "come into" this world; we come out of it, as leaves from a tree. As the ocean "waves," the universe "peoples." Every individual is an expression of the whole realm of nature, a unique action of the total universe.
Through our eyes, the universe is perceiving itself. Through our ears, the universe is listening to its harmonies. We are the witnesses through which the universe becomes conscious of its glory, of its magnificence.

                        Alan Watts.

Gotta love Alan Watts he smoked cigars too highly recommended listening to him when times are tough..

Mufasa: Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance. As king, you need to understand that balance and respect all the creatures, from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope.
Young Simba: But, Dad, don't we eat the antelope?
Mufasa: Yes, Simba, but let me explain. When we die, our bodies become the grass, and the antelope eat the grass. And so we are all connected in the great Circle of Life.

Not quite what you were getting at for quotes..... But I love it all the same. It forms my philosophy on life.
Profound stuff for a kids film.

I may be paraphrasing this and I have no idea who said it:

"Everytime you face a so called crisis you should ask yourself, 'will this matter in five years' time?'"
