I think the forum is fine as is TBH, plus he's probably too opinionated to be an effective mod.

While there's a thread about it, if there were to be a new moderator... Not that I particularly think there is a need for one. I actually think cigarmo would be a great choice, very neutral and often reserved of opinion.

He's a great chap but we definitely have enough mods for now! And I don't pick them really, it's a joint decision between all mods. Plenty on here, including PeeJay, could be mods if we had a user base of tens of thousands.
