  • La Flor de Cano Gran Cano Cigar (UK Regional Edition - 2013)

So A guy I know met a guy whos sisters aunts mothers brothers pal knows a girl, that has a friend that knows a dog, that is owned by a guy that lives next to a guy, that has a misteress that rolls cigars in cuba.

This cigar roller has a brother that is married to a guy that drives a ice cream van, the garage that the services his van, also services the delivery trucks that deliver the bog roll to the cigar factory.

Now this guy can get the above cigars smuggled out to the UK hidden in banana boxes. Any one interested should contact me through the ice cream man.

    Ok sillyness over.

has anyone tried the Cigar in the title, I remember having one buy can't remember if it was any good. The price on them seems to be going down at most retailer in the uk, being a limited edition of 5000 boxes I would have expected the price to go up.

Yep thoroughly enjoyable stick, but the Asian release was apparently slightly better.

Yep, I smoked one last year whilst at Peejay's after lunch. Beautiful!! I was given two at it's UK launch.

Not for me. I've tried two and still have one, but I didn't think much of the 2010 Short Robusto either. Nothing against LFdC , I happily smoked through a few Predilectos Tubulares on holiday and they were fine.

Tried it at the launch and subsequently got in a bit of an argument with a highly respected cigar merchant, who shall remain nameless, because I said I didn't think it would develop as it aged and he told me that in his opinion, although it was a light cigar it would age very well.

I've smoked it since and I am looking forward to trying one again in about 5 years and having that discussion with him again.

I remember foxy and friends brought boxes of them down two Nov. ago for the Canadian BotLs. They ended up loving it so much that it's now a delicacy here.
I love these cigars, too. Amazing.

I got one box on a private buy. Good price but out of country and paid a tad more than stick price. Smoked 3, bombed away 3. Bought 3 more boxes afterwards with okay pricing.
Let me know if you want one of these, Mo. PM.

Oh lord. The Grannie Pannies RE Asia Pacifico were abhorrent. The ones that weren't underfilled tasted like seasalt and bather's lotion.

Interesting you'd compare them, Arf. I have personally thunk the LFdC RE GBs have tasted nothing like the regular Selectos and Petit Coronas of the standard line.

Whilst the Selectos reminds me of the LFdC Gran Canos, I find it really hard to compare them in terms of flavour. The short robusto RE GB is a very meh smoke along with the Petit Corona. I found the Gran Cano to be smoking better ATM.

The Grandiosos? I liked them and a few others did. Each to their own, might get one out this week and check again; you may have blighted my opinion now!

Do check them out! But not in this weather... Best if you can compare the Gran Cano to the Grandiosos.

Of course to each their own . Let me know if you can see why I call them the Grannie Pannies

I've tried Selectos .... never again.

Both of the LFdC RE put me in mind of the Upmann SC .... an insipid flavours combination of wallpaper paste and wet cardboard. How anyone can imagine they will get better with age is beyond me, although I guess it could be truthful to say they can't possibly get any worse.

I'm pleased for anyone who likes the wretched things, but for myself I'd rather have one ERdM Demi Tasse than be handed a handful of LFdC REs.

Hi guys, pardon to butt in put I had one of these at Christmas with a friend over a quiet pint. I enjoyed it and would smoke again but my friend, who smoked one at launch, stated the the six months has been very good to them.
I was glad to hear that as I have a few sitting in store on the recommendation of a friend.
