Pipe biting alternatives

Noticed that I am getting a few marks on my pipe and could not be bothered with ordering any rubber protection. So I had a look around the house and found this shrink tubing.



I fitted it and I think it looks ok.



When I come to change it I will use my wife's stitch picker so I don't mark the pipe with a blade edge.



And if i feel like pimping up my pipe I could go for some coloured tubing.

Good idea like it a lot, but I have to ask why you had shrink tubing and even multi coloured around the house ?

Years ago I used it for making hair rigs for carp fishing, and it's also a good idea for covering joints in wiring.






The packs I have bought over the years have different sizes and colours.

I'm a fisherman myself just seemed a bit big dir that , photos can be deceiving , good idea though

I like it. Was wondering about this. If there was something that could go over it that was wider to make it easier to bite and hold in your mounth

Good idea, I have loads of shrink tubing for cables I make.
