  • Favourite Bond Movie

Well I recorded Skyfall on TV recently and accidentally recorded the whole series of Bond movies which are showing every Sunday. Well it would be rude not to watch them all again so Im going through them lately.

My favourite has always been You Only Live Twice, its got it all.. the exotic location (Japan,) space scenes and space rockets, its got man eating pirhanas, its got the most evil of bad guys who lives in a volcano (with his cat,) its got ninjas with machine guns, its got the best music score, Roald Dahl wrote the screenplay, its got a DIY miniture helicopter gyrocopter called Little Nellie, its got a lake made of metal and underwater scenes and a submarine.. Who could ask for more? [emoji3]

The only thing its missing is Jaws- he did make a great bad guy!! FRWL comes a joint first though!

I recently watched The Man with the Golden Gun and noted that Roger Moore smokes a cigar in nearly every scene! Apparently it was a myth that Montecristo supplied unlimited cigars.

    Whats your favourite and why?

Favorite bond was Sean Connery , but remember going to Leicester sq with my granddad in the late 70s and watching live and let die and man with the golden gun double bill , live and let die has to be my favorite memories of my youth and best bond theme by far

Probably though because I watched bond movies in the 80s when he was rife in bond movies.

Mine has to be from Russia with love only because my dad played one of the gypsies in the crowd scene, we could never pick him out so it is possible that his fleeting moment of "fame" ended up on the cutting room floor

Too hard to choose, but I'm enjoying Daniel Craig as bond. I think the films around him could be marginaly better though.

Agree there Marc he's a great bond and the first one started with much promise but the last two slid by the wayside a bit , a shame really when you compare them to the Bourne films they don't cut the mustard and a vast budget to play with

I've been watching them every week too....I have to say I have SKYFALL down as my favourite.
Each movie brings something to the table, and not just saying it as it's the latest etc but SKYFALL is a great movie in my book.

Thats a great story to tell the grandkids!

Daniel Craig does a good Bond.. I couldn't stand Brosnan though.

In a traditionalist, the older ones are the best with their cheesy storylines and acting. Craig is very suave, but the films just aren't as good.

I saw Kingsman at the cinema at the weekend and I LOVED it! If you're a fan of bond and/or Kick Ass, I would highly recommend it.

Grew up in the era of Roger Moore who is now my 3rd favourite Bond ( liked him in the Saint as well ) but Sean Connery overall is still my favourite . Though Craig is my second favourite Bond ' Casino Royale ' is currently my fav film . I have the blu-ray box set and watch them all far too frequently .

You missed out the scene when he asks if his new fake wife is good looking and the guy turns round and says face like a pig!

Never much liked Brosnan as Bond but this was a very good line , ' I always wanted to have Christmas in Turkey ' .
