  • Greens of Leeds

Just put my first order in with them - just a few samplers and a cheap cob - and they've already shipped it!
Only RM first class, so may or may not get it tomorrow.
But that's pretty good service if it's true.

Never heard of this one. I will keep an eye on their stock.
Leeds is only an hour or so away.

It's a nice little place with a very friendly owner - He has a walk in humidor (quite small) - tbh the only time I went in there I knew nothing as I was a total newb, so i can't really tell you anything useful.

Isn't there a place in Leeds that used to have the biggest walk in humi in Europe?

James Barber in Otley Leeds, I was lead to believe (perhaps wrongly) that once upon a time that this was the largest humidor in Europe or England, can't remember which.

Ah. Not leeds then. The residents of otley object.so much to the signage they spray paint over it. Lol.
I may have to check that out..

Just looked at a map. The number of times I've been past there and never noticed it is unreal!

Just rang the place in Otley to ask if they have facilities for sampling cigars - she replied with " well I can't let you try a cigar and then put it back in the humidor if you don't like it"

                          Unbelievable.
I changed tack - I stated that I had smoked cigars on site in London tobacconists and enquired if it was possible there - nope, it isn't.
Guess I won't bother popping down then. Could have been fun otherwise.
4000 sq ft and nowhere to smoke....

Not exactly inspiring is it. I found the same sort of attitude in the tobacconists in Bath. It was soon very obvious that the pleasant lady behind the counter was just a sales person and knew nothing about cigars.
