Have any of you gone off smoking cigars / pipes at any point?
At the moment, I have little to no interest whatsoever in smoking anything I have.
It's pissing me off tbh - but that being said I'm not much interested in eating/ drinking either.
It's really odd and very annoying.
If it's happened to you - why did it happen? How long for? How did it stop?

I had it a couple of times with the cigars.
But it just brought me to fire up when I really really fancied one,
and not for the sake of it: i.e, if I had a free house.

They last longer that way too!

You have a lot going on in your life bud. Try not to worry about the smoking, relax and go with the flow and your love for it Will come back. If not then I guess your 've in my position of looking for something else to invest my efforts into.

I've had short spells where I've gone off them for whatever reason but I always bring myself back by smoking something out of the usual like a Java Maduro or an Acid. Going off everything sounds like mild depression Andy.

Cigars and pipes no, I drink red wine quite often, but since Christmas have drunk only whisky, now I am sick to death of drinking whisky and gone back to the red! My wife bought me a really nice bottle of Bordeaux (I love a Bordeaux and all ways have done) a couple of weeks ago and I have drunk nothing else since.

              Point of the story?

1, change it up a bit and try something new (cigars).

2, have some time off and you may begin to miss it.

I can go 2 weeks and not smoke, doesn't mean that I have lost interest, now if you had not bothered for 6 month or even a year then I would accept I may have completely lost interest.

                That's true.
I really hope so - otherwise I guess there's going to be one helluva fire sale coming.
I'm liking pipes - but have no interest in smoking them - it's really weird.
I have three and in the next week or so will be getting another three (all from different sources).
I might just sit there and hold them.... Who knows...
I wish it would go away!
Hope things improve for you too bud.

Yes maybe, I suffer from a little depression at times, and the last thing I would think about is having a smoke.

I have chronic/severe depression (depending on which doc I talk to) - Have had it for a while now.
So I doubt it's that, as it's never happened before - ordinarily my reaction is to over eat / drink / indulge etc..

Talk about Catch 22! I'm glad you're able to eliminate that as a cause but sorry about the wherefore.

+1 to that. You'll probably have a great day when a cigar just seems appropriate sun-smiley.png

I enjoy drinking fine wines and spirits, I enjoy smoking cigars and pipes, and one of the main reasons why?.......I can do it when I want to do it and when I feel like it. It's not like having to go to the gym 4 times a week or joining a 5 aside football team or a knitting club and having to attend every week, this is a hobby/interest where If I/we have a few day, weeks or even months off that's fine.
