  • Hello from Newbury

Superb Forum! I?ve been a guest most nights over the last 2 weeks reading the banter, absorbing knowledge, and wondering if I should take the plunge into your world of fine cigars. I?ve been dabbling with Cubans for the last 20 years or so but nothing more than 5 per year until this year. Bought my first box of 25 Bolivars in March and promptly ravaged them to depletion last month. I?ve now invested in a cigar book, acquainted myself with a local purveyor of fine smokes and managed my wife expectations by informing her of my intension of spending lots of money on my cigar habit. I introduced myself to a Diplomaticos No2 last night and I have a Partagas series P No2 poised in front of me for tonights entertainment. Looking forward to joining in.

Hi there! Good to see you have decided to invest a little more time and effort into this fine pursuit. Which Bolivars did you get? Which cigar book?

Make yourself at home and join in the fun. May I point out the Raffle?

Bought the box of Bolivar Tubos No3's at Heathrow on a half price sale and duty free to boot. Couldnt refuse that offer as I remember telling the wife! The book is by Anwer Bati 'Celebrating Cigars', lots of pictures and not too many words; its excellent for what I need. Raffle? hadnt spotted that, shall have shufties.

Welcome mate, who do you use as you local supplier?
?I have to laugh when I think of the first cigar, because it was probably just a bunch of rolled up tobacco leaves?
