  • HDM Epicure No.2

Wow, what a simply wonderful cigar.

The depth of this cigar is amazing; the tastes build slowly from ordinary to sublime.

Never over-strong flavours which consist of strong tobacco and leather with espresso and cocoa mingled in between, which is so satisfying.

The aroma of the sweet, honey, woody smoke is sensational. It should be used as incense in heaven.

Quite simply put, there is nothing quite like this Robusto, truly amazing...

    Cheers, HabanoSy

You paint a nice puro picture, for a spy!

So what are you saying, senor spy? Did you like it or not?

They sure are good! I prefer them with some age on but one could say that about most cigars I suppose

        A great smoke.
For me, you find you are dealing with something really rich about half way through.
Wrote recently that I think the band is a bit cheap-looking!

          Outstanding.

Smoked more of these than any other cigar.Outstanding smoke and they have never let me down ever.

Have you ever tried the Hoyo DC Habanosy?

Reckon you would like these as well.

I have a box of these from around May 2007 and they are simply amazing. by far my favorite robusto. I love to smoke this with a cup of hazelnut coffee or a pint of guinness

I had two Epicure No.2 at the weekend given to me by a chap who got them in Holland (where he lives). Never had them before was was keen to give them a try. Was initially interested to see they had a second 'price band' around them, maybe a Dutch thing?

I found them to be a pretty good cigar, a liuttle tough to light initially but I think that was due to them being out of a humidor for about a day. Once I got it going it burned reasonably even but probably due to being a little dry rather than the cigar itself. The main tastes were chocolate and also a very nice hint of fruit. Somebody else said they had a slight spice about it but I never picked up on that.

The second one a few hours later just reconfirmed my opinion on the first one, they were identical in taste and lighting issues.

I might buy a couple and leave them to age before having another one, see if that makes any difference.
