  • WORST Cigars youve had.

Name some of the worst cigar smokes youve had.

Mine has to be a Villiger

These were gastly. Imagine a hamlet cigarillo, englarge it to 38 ring gauge and you have one of these. Yuck, I gave my second one to a mate (to which we collectively condemned it)

The second was a Nat Sherman 1400 series (cant recall the name, the foot was square-ish). Just a lifeless smoke! I seldomly bought another from my local store as it was all they had (that I was willing to buy), again it was just boring, really hard going, kept going out. overall just pooy, glad the shop stopped selling them.

    Cohiba Siglo 2

Hold your horses, I love this cigar to death, My cohiba count so far is 19 so Ive had a fair few of em. But ive had one bad experience with a Siglo 2, the cigar was so tight, ridiculously tight, no smoke could even get through, someone at the factory was having a bad day id imagine.

    Partagas Serie D No4

This was my first and last (currently) Partagas. This kind of put me off partagas, talk about first impressions. The smoke was really un-fun, hard to draw on, un-fufilling puffs of smoke, slow stupid burn, didnt like it. I hope for Partagas' sake that it was just a one off. I dont dislike partagas, but this first experience havent made buying another a top priority in my cigar experimenting tenure.

What are some of your bad smokes / bad smoking experiences?

Worst (more accurately: least good) cigar I've had so far has been a Diplomaticos No4. I must add that I've only ever had one of these, so its hardly a representative sample... The draw was very tight, my eyes felt that they were going to pop out at one point! It started okay, and the flavours weren't unagreeable at all, it just took up all my energy after a day of travelling to just get the stuff through...

On the plus side, it lasted over an hour because of how slow the going was.

You must have got real unlucky with the D4 Mr. B.

      What about your sad stick?

Surely that must be up there mate

Worst I've had was a snide RyJ No3 in Cuba. Made the obvious mistake of buying a pack of three tubos off one the hotel staff. Couldn't get a draw at all.

First one was great funnily enough

        arthritic chimp.

Easy one this. The worst so far this year was the R&J short Churchill. After a couple of good reviews on the forum I purchased a box of ten and they were bloody awfull.Completely one dimensional smoke and thank god i never bought the box of 25.

I would like to think I got a bad box, but I did smoke a few of them and they were all the same.

Worst cigars ever was about 3 Punch Punch I bought on holiday, and again thankfully I did not buy the box of 25.Had pieces of twigs in the filler and the majority of them looked as though they had been rolled by an arthritic chimp.

Funny, I've had crap Punch before. In fact, I've never had a good one.

Had some pretty bad cigars - including a range of sticks from 1999/2000 which were shockingly poor.

Worst one was probably in LA last year. Local supplier reckoned he could get the unreleased Punch UK RE 2008. Every instinct told me not to touch it, but ...
couldn't help myself. Lit it, warmed it up & was able to completely bend the thing in half - underfilled ? Fake ? Don't know, but only smoked half an inch or so

If Partagas doesn't really appeal to you, I'd strongly recommend the Partagas Serie du Connoisseur, especially the #3. Replaced my beloved and long-gone Party Charlotte. Different profile to the SD4 etc. Try one

Has to be either a Miami 5 Vegas or a Nestor Miranda, Both NC's and in this case it stands for "Nasty Cigar"

Kind of agree with you Al. Almost every Punch I've ever had has been plugged. I had almost an entire box of 2003 Punch Punch that were plugged as well as a box of 2001 Black Prince. The only Punch DC I've ever had was also plugged. The frustrating thing is that when Punch smoke well they're bloody amazing. I guess I've just been unlucky :-(
