  • Tubos - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly?

    Chaps,

I am making another trip this coming weekend, and I want to road-test a couple of tubos.

I have tried the Monty' Petit Tubos, and it was quite smooth, had a good aroma, burn was okay. Pretty middle of the road. I got what I paid for.

So -- what would you recommend for me? I am looking for a tubos due to my not having enjoyed too many tubed sticks, and would be interested in your views.

    Cheers

Like Kdot said 'depends what your looking for?'...

The Monty tubos that you have tried are great, the others I have tried and liked similar to that are the Bolivar Tubos No.3, the RyJ Tubos No.2 and the Punch Petit Coronations...

But as Cohiba IV rightly stated if you are after a great smoke and you've got the time then the RyJ Tubed Churchill is a mighty fine one to go for...

        Cheers, HabanoSy

Bolivar tubo No.2 are good smoke full of flavour, even better with a few years on... Mag 46 are available in a tube, should be good, and Hoyo Epi. Esp. are also available, along with the other BOTL suggestions thats about it....

              Trust the Tube!

What about the Cohiba VI Tubo, senor ACMCC?

A lovely puro in a beautiful tube! A real show-off piece, IMO.

I've also enjoyed the nice and cheap partagas tubes in the past.

But that's just me, BJ, BJCoro.

The Romeo y Julieta Romeo No. 3 Tubos is a nice, tasty, smoke (in my experience) and not overly expensive.
If you've tried the Petit Edmundo, have you considered his big brother, Edmundo? Not quite as flavoursome, but he is a big lad

Met him on the inaugural London walk, earlier this year

Partagas P2! Superb sexy looking mofo of a tube too. I recently did a very large box split of them on the forums.

I had a couple of 3 packs of the Tubed H.Upmann Magnum 46 a while back and I have to say that these smoked absolutely superb, so it may be worth giving these a pop...

Sorry, I *have* to name this my picture of the week! 'He is a big lad' .... hell that is a talking point when it comes to cigar tubes!

Thanks for the suggestions, gentlemen. Helpful and insightful as usual.
