  • Tasting at Boisdales 26th October - who's up for it?

Anyone else up for going to the October 26th one? I'm particularly interested in the 1982 cognac (plus the Boli of course!)

I'm probably going to get myself a ticket......

Monthly Tutored Tastings on Boisdale?s Cigar Terrace

Once a month from September onwards Boisdale of Belgravia will host a series of hour-long, tutored tastings of a new or rare Havana cigar matched with a libation chosen from its extensive bar list. The cigar tutor will be H&F's Simon Chase.
Monday 26th October will see the second in the series when the Bolivar Petit Belicoso, one of the 2009 Limited Edition releases, will be matched with Hennessy 1982 Grande Champagne Cognac.

"By the cigars they smoke, and the composers they love, ye shall know the texture of men's souls." John Galsworthy
"A good Cuban cigar closes the door to the vulgarities of the world." Franz Liszt
"The most futile and disastrous day seems well spent when it is reviewed through the blue, fragrant smoke of a Havana Cigar." Evelyn Waugh
"Remember, commander, no cigars before launch." a Cuban doctor's orders to an astronaut at Cape Canaveral

Excellent, the more the merrier I think!

These monthly tastings seem like a really good idea; I'm going to try to get to as many as I can (I can't make the Trinidad Robusto one in sept unfortunately)

Plenty of time for an after-herf too!

Each session is apparently an hour.

Although staying on after will be actively encouraged I would think!

They do lots of post working day events, I was at a Tanqueray gin event a couple of weeks back.

I've just booked in for the 21st Sept event as I am more a red wine person than a Cognac so I will report back.

BTW there are still tickets available for this.

OK, I am booked in for both but Jimmeh is being a lady-boy again and isn't coming so lets put a list together of who is going to each event so I have somebody to talk with! As I said, I am going to both. Looking forward to trying the Trinidad T!

                          T.

P.S. It is interesting, members can take a small number of guests, at the reduced ticket price......hmmm.......
