  • The hunt for Vega Palmera

I was gifted these by a friend when he went to tenerife. He came back with some lonsdale cigars named Vega Palmera. These were an incredible light smoke, excellent draw , no harshness at all from what I can remember. We all shared one each over a card game, im sure you all know that to enjoy a smoke to it's fullest you need alone time, or at least another BOTL, to sober up the experience. But really, this cigar didnt need our attention, the simple fact of it being well behaved and enjoyable for me , and my non botl friends was enough.

Id like to track these down again so I could re-try them to myself, however there are NO stockists that I can find. The only lead I've found is this website which seems to be some kind of cigar alumni website. Here you'll see the band of the brand, but not much else.

I've also found a few cigarillo style cigars also selling under this name. But I am after those lonsdales which were gifted to me. Long shot but have any of you guys crossed this brand?

I may be able to point you in the right direction.......the father of chap who works for me smokes them and swears by them. I'll find out how he sources them. I'll get the answer in a week or so, as the chap (Chris) who works for me is on vacation for a couple of weeks...

          Will post

Will post a thread the next time I am heading over there MR B.I normally get over a couple of times a year.

I have seen the smokes you are after, and they are in most of the tobacconists.Should not be a problem to source and they are cheap as chips.

My colleague's relative picks these up in France/Spain; he has a place over there. He is going to get details of exactly where and establish if they do mail order etc. If that fails he may be able to pick some up and bring them back to the UK if that suits?

sounds good either way, these are high priority on the 'track down and buy again' list!

Was in Spain recently and had a look in at least 5 different Tobaccos stores and none of them had any in stock. Thought they would of as they have a few "Vega-xxx" brands but not that one.

                I tried!

Found some Vega Fina Coronitas. Are they similar to what you're looking for?

                    Bumping this thread:

I smoked a vega palmera cigar today! My friend brought them back from tennerife and they are pretty nice actually. Pretty light in flavour and nice and smooth. Would also like to try some more of these but m friend only brought a 3 back.
Smoke em if you've got em
