  • Robustos Cohiba! Friday 19th September 08

    Fantastic posts, gentlemen.

I got off work a couple of hours early today and have been able to get my peaceful, solitary COHIBA moment a day early. I haven't smoked a Cohiba since last Christmas, and this was like a religious moment today!

It was sublime. No long review, but as ever I enjoyed a potent honey smoke evenly from start to finish. I always taste honey with Cohibas. I've had a couple of Cohiba Siglo Zeppelins in the past, but I really love robustos for their consistency. Monte - You sent me a Miss World of a stogie here, and I always appreciate the smell of a Cohiba when I'm smoking one. I don't get that nose-action when I smoke other great cigars, but somehow a Cohiba delivers to the nostrils simultaneously.

You must have realised I'm a camera-shy recluse by now. (And not vain lol). Here's some evidence of me taking the bread and wine.

And my labrador copied his master during the last tokes.

Lordee I feel good after one of these flights! It's good to leave the sanity-saving Villigers behind from time to time.

    Almost a horse-shit stogie-chomping moment there, Smokie!

That's exactly how I see such moments, Drew.
            Episodes. Or adventures.

I can hear the Channel lapping from my back garden on some days. Today was quiet and still. I have a hidden smoking spot by my cabin. Totally private. A haven for reflection. I forget all the shit of the day's routine. It's just wonderful.

I'm quite a gregarious, self-assured person and enjoy laughing my nut off with mates.

But I also love my own company and drifting off in wisps of blue-brown Havana smoke to total peace.

It's nice to have a spot to share the evidence.

Yes its nice to have those moments where you just sit down and stick your feet up and shove a good cigar in your mouth and just drift away, friggin heaven.Up at my workshop yesturday i was a bit stressed as i had to get a job out for the weekend and i was simply pulling my hair out,(not that i got much these days, old age creepin in)i sat down in my old worn out chair(which i srounged from a skip from a school),and stuck my feet up and grabbed a cigar and thought what the hell. After about 45mins of puffin away i thought to my self ,why are you getting so het up and pulling your hair out,if its not ready then the bloke will have to pick it up on monday instead. So i continued to finish the rest of the cigar which had totaly calmed me down and really enjoyed.,,,I have been up this morning and finished the job off all ready for the guy to pick up on monday morning.,well it was my excuse to get back up the workshop and have a good puff or two out of the way of (ER in doors),lol.
