  • a long overdue 'proper introduction!

    evening all,
just thought i'd let you all know that i've started to add stuff to my profile so i may be better acquainted with you all! i'll fill in the blanks here:
*my name is alex (i think some of you will know this already)!
    * i live and work in belfast northern ireland! i'm a full time docker and part time musician, being a part owner in a small recording studio/ rehearsal room!
*pround father of a 2 year old boy!
*i play most instruments (badly, lol), my favourites being keyboard based, mainly my vintage analogue synths and hammond organ!
*love all types of music, from 'normal' music to weird avant garde nonsense!
*have a new found/ rediscovered love of anything outdoors, hill walking, exploring the countryside here in ireland, hunting with the father in law!
*been smoking cuban cigars for the last year or so, after dabbling with crap like phillies and swishers on and off for years! favourite brands are partagas, hoyo de monterrey, bolivar, romeo y julieta, montecristo and cohiba!
*favourite drinks are guinness, bushmills 10yr old and 16yr old, hennessy, remy martin, gin, havana club rum! all respectable drinks, no WKD's or smirnoff ices here! lol!

so, after all this, with a raised glass and a fine cigar, Sl?inte Mhaith to all! hope to converse with you all more on this forum!

    all the best,

    alex thompson, belfast

welcome properly Alex and take no notice of the heathens on here.

P.s god bless sir Niall Quinn from your fair isle.

My dad always thought due to our surname that we descended from the scots i've always maintained it twas the irish, they probably the same ones looting and pillaging anyway.
I started out with nothing and i've still got most of it left - Seasick Steve

........and thanks for the 100,000 welcomes, simonjgriffithshr! 100,000 thank you's in return!
