  • RA Small Club Corona and the Gigantes

I just watched a YouTube video about the RA Small Club Corona. In it, the videomaker says that the Small Club Corona tastes just like the Gigantes.

I love the Small Club Corona to bits and recently bought 50 of them. So I'm presuming I'd fall in love with the Gigantes - which I have never smoked - if the videomaker is correct.

If you know both cigars, do you agree with the chap's statement about their similarity? I'm thinking about new cigars to try of the strength and taste of the Ramon Allones and Bolivar labels.

    Many thanks, guys.

I expect to hear joy coming South from your smoking moment, Lasc!
      I'll look forward to it.

Sounds like a right corker you are about to destroy.
      I'm jealous.

IMO they don't taste the same Bry...I always think bigger smokes are smoother, cooler and more refined where small smokes are a bit harsher, one-dimensional.

Maybe the guy meant you can get the RA taste in both but they're no way the exact same

        Just my 2p worth though....

BTW - the Gigante is awesome

Just bought a box of RASCC myself and many of the reviews say the same as u-tube, Sometimes people read the same review and just agree, so i guess we'll have to put it to the test, im sure if you like these you must enjoy the Partagas shorts.

the gigantes is quite a mild smoke for a biggy, not much development goes on either. very nice though! the rascc is a great short smoke, same ra profile and no room for develpment

yum, very nice smoke the gigantes.
i agree with bigbarney, felt milder than both the RASCC and RASS, the start was very mild, typical of the prominentes ive tried before, after the 1st quarter the flavour sat there and a bit of spice kicked in, very nice. great aroma from smoke off the wrapper, herby/perfumed smell through the nose.
you've gotta try a partagas lusitania if you're a fan of the size, aged this is the best cigar ive ever had.

I've had the pleasure of only one RAG, but quite a few RASCC. Thinking back, I can identify with fellows on here about the RAG.

I was actually a little surprised at the lack(for want of a better word) of power, considering the RASCCs are powerful little buggers.

However, giving the cigar its dues, this was probably more about refinement than raw oomph. Full on flavour though.

Bryan, you have a stick on the list for Cuba mate. You will like the RAG

I have not tried the RASCC....but from what here, it's a great little cigar. I love the RAG! It's on the mild to medium side, lots of flavors and aroma.
