Was unfortunately introduced to this rum and have to say that as I don't usually drink rum this is superb. Fantastic flavours and goes so well with a cigar.

The reason I say unfortunately is because it costs about ?50 a bottle and I am on to my second in a couple of months

Sonds good might buy a bottle to try, quite like Remy with a cigar i find it brings out flavours more in a cigar.
If you got em, Smoke em!

            Re-Igniting an old thread...!!!

The Ron Zacapa Centenario Anos 23 is IMO one of THE best rums to pair with a fine cigar.

Many experts consider this rum to be the best in the world, this rum has earned its place in the history books as a benchmark for super premiums. First place winner in the premium rums category in the 1998,1999,2000 and 2001 International Rum Festival tasting Competition. In 2003 it was honored by the International Rum Festival as the first rum ever to be inducted into it's hall of fame. Highest Rum score in the Beverage Testing Institute of Chicago (98 point Rating).

This rum's dark brown amber color sets the tone for an exciting drinking experience. Well-rounded oak aroma speaks of aging and refinement. In the palate, layer upon layer of flavors including nutmeg, toasted hazelnut and a hint of caramel. Smooth finish, with a long aromatic persistence.

Go on treat yourself, trust me you won't be dissapointed. You can currently buy a 70cl bottle of this at www.drinkshop.com for approx ?55.

            Cheers, HabanoSy

                  I'm with you senor sled.

I'm not a big rum hombre myself, but sampled this fine elixir while in Grand Cayman a few weeks ago while puffin' on a freshly rolled habano by the master roller who used to be one of Fidel's personal rollers!!!

It doesn't get much better than that, muchachos!

Picked up a bottle on the way out for $45! Perfect with a fine puro, mates.
