    Hi Guys,

As you know i'm new to this CC thing.

Can someone please explain what sublime means?

Also, from most reviews, sublimes get great reviews. Is it that much better?

I smoked a cohiba siglo VI for the first time this weekend. It blew me away. Just an amazing flavor experience. Till this weekend the Patron 26 series maduro was the best thing I ever had. The siglo was way better and actually cheaper!

With my limited financial resources, is it better for me to stick with the majors in CC? Like Cohiba, Partagas, and Monte Cristo? Although i've read really good things about Upmann's as well. Please keep in mind that I have to purchase whole boxes to get the free freight with most and have the best bang for my buck.

I appreciate any advice you guys can give me.

    Thanks,

I'm assuming you mean these, as opposed to the adjective sublime. Not smoked either myself...

Regarding your choice in cubans, everyone's tastes are different, so it might be worthwhile looking at the various reviews on cigars-review.org and seeing if any sound like you'd like them.

I certainly wouldn't discount other brands just because they are not the major ones. Ignoring 'Global Brands' on this list, I'd certainly look at Bolivar, Juan Lopez, Ramon Allones, Trinidad and Vegas Robaina. Though those are just my tastes...

well cohiba are the most expensive of CCs,
good choice on the siglo VI, one of my 'spiritual' smokes!

try every single brand of cubans you can, definitely don't stick to those 3, you might find you love others equally or more son. you've set a high bar with the siglo VI but smokes i find comparable are:

partagas lusitanias, hoyo double coronas and punch double coronas. upmann mag 50's and no.2s are lovely as well.

definitely try hoyo de monterrey next - the regalos 2007 is beautiful, as is the no.2 and no.1, and of course the double corona.
and definitely try partagas D4, P2 and juan lopez no.2
they are all loved around these parts

Partagas lusitanias seem like must have. The SD4 might soon follow.

I'm debating if I should order the upmann 50 or the upmann 48 LE.

Any reccomendations for a everyday smoke? I don't want to be spending over $15 a smoke... well hopefully one day that won't matter either I'm leaning toward a montecristo #2 or edmundo...
