  • Dry Esplendidos!

I hope no one will repeat what I've done to their cigars, I literally can't imagine a worse thing than this.

I bought this old band Cohiba Esplendidos, made in 2002, from Harrods at 28 pound.

Well the other day, I was just checking out my humidor to see how my cigars are doing, I've had this Esplendidos and some other single cigars on the top of the boxes, so I took them out and after checking the all other cigars, I forgot to put this one back. It took me three days to see it poorly laying on the shelf and realized the stupidest thing I've done.

Well it's very dry hence i put it back to the humidor to see if it can get recovered. Some people say that if you put them back in the right environment for a period of time, they will become perfectly fine. F it! The thing about cigars is that when it's 'dead', it is dead!

There's no way I'm gonna throw this 28 pound cigar away so I lit it up, it didn't smell like Cohiba at all, but full of spiciness and grassy.

Again! next time you check over your cigars in the humi, don't forget to put them back afterwards!

What a bugger Pedro. However after only three days out of the love-nest, I'm sure it would have been ok to have popped back in for some rest and recuperation.

Mind you, you might never have smoked it then

They do, plus selfridge's. Among the shops, the Harrod's one is probably the worst in terms of the humidity environment.

Can't believe you lit it up after such a short period of time. If you had left it back in the humi for much longer it would probably of been fine.

                        I agree.
It takes more than 3 days to ruin a cigar unless you are in the desert somewhere and the oils and other tasty components don't evaporate as quickly as the moisture.

I'd have given it a good week or more back in the humidor BUT there is always the educational component in a situation like this and you did get to experience a drier Cohiba and now have a reference for the future.
                        Thanks for the review.
