  • Hello from Dorset

Well hello, and greetings from (not-so) sunny Dorset.

A little about myself. My name's Chris (as you may have guessed), I'm 24 and I'm a professional musician working down here in the south. I've always had a fondness for cigars and on a recent tour of Canada found myself smoking for than a few stogies. I'm hoping to get some help and ideas from here to get me on some fine smokables, and not getting ripped off in the process.

I look forward to chatting with you all!

            Welcome to UKCF Chris.
Touring Canada sounds like fun, who did you tour with and what kind of sounds do you make?

I toured with a Concert Wind band, but we also put a Dance band out (playing all sorts from Miller, to Latin stuff, even the big band arrangement of Phil Collins' Sussudio!). Spent nearly 5 weeks there (should have been 4 weeks and 2 days, but Air Canada...what can I say...NOT in the running for best airline!). Spent many an evening smoking Troya stogies. The bad thing is Canada is even more anal about smoking than here, and the tax on tabacco products is beyond belief.

Welcome to the forum, good bunch of guys here and a lot of knowledge to dig into.

                        What instrument(s) do you play?
"Come in here, dear Boy, have a cigar" ....Roger Waters (Pink Floyd)

Sounds interesting. Once you've been around a while, maybe you'll let us in on who the band is
