  • Me!

Well I've sorted my signature, and uploaded an avatar...so I suppose I should do this.

My name's Chris (for the less observant of you!), I'm 24, soon to be 25, and I live in Bovington, Dorset...for the military enthusiasts amongst you you'll know that's the home of The Tank Museum, and also the home of the Royal Armoured Corps, so it may come as no shock that I'm in the Army; The Light Cavalry Band to be precise...so I am technically a professional musician . I'm a percussionist specialising in Drum kit and Timpani, though I play just about everything you can hit, shake, rattle or roll. I've been serving for 7 years and it's taken me to some wonderful places, with of course some wonderful duty-free cigars. I started smoking cigars on a tour of Cyprus in 2005, when King Edwards were plentiful and cheap...not the best cigars I know, but when you're out of your tree on Brandy sours it doesn't really matter!

I've been married for nearly 3 years (18th November!) to my lovely wife and am loving it...so far.

I'm a keen photographer, published a few times in small newspapers and journals, but I do it mostly for fun...however if the right paid assignment comes along I don't think twice! I'm a very active member of one of the largest photography forums on the internet. I particularly enjoy portrait photography, and of course artistic nude and boudoir photography.

I also enjoy carp fishing, although my PB is only around 12lb, but it was a beautiful specemin in a very tightly regulated lake; which wasn't easy given my usual tactic is boilies...lots of them!

I love litening to music, epscially rock. My fovourite band goes by the name of Dream Theater, a progressive rock band from Long Island NY. I also love jazz music, especially Maynard Fergusson and more modern big band and latin music. I can fully respect Glenn Miller...but he's just not my thing really. I play for my big band at work, as well as singing too.

    Well that's me!

Great intro mate, nice to know your interests.

Sounds like we have another band member, there must be something about cigars and musicians!

No favourites as yet, I've only been smoking the cheapos you get in Asda and such, although my local Asda sell Punch corronations, but never bothered.

I'm looking forward to finding a favourite. I was smoking Troyas in Canada, not bad, though I wouldn't say favourites, as I don;t have a massive frame of reference!
