  • How do you smoke yours???

Hello Gents, (no point in addressing the ladies cause we all know this place is a sausage fest)

We recently had a thread on how you hold you cigar and what it says about you. So i though i would run with the idea even though it has no doubt been addressed many times.

How do you smoke your stogie? fast/slow, swirl the smoke about in your mouth?

I tend to smoke at the end of the night, lights low in front of the TV (or a good book) for a good few hours, frequently smelling the lit cigar while stuffing my face with something sweet and a good coffee. Almost like a ritual now.

So like the cream egg ad, How do you smoke yours???

Hi Kam in Portugal we call it a hose party...

I usually smoke my ciggies when going to work and when i make a break, as i work always at night is usually at 1 or 2 am.

Sometimes i have them after lunch, witch for me is at 15 or 16 PM but my wife is not very fond of me doing it at home.

I enjoy the longer and more complex cigars in the weekend. I like to seat on a nice confy chair and look at the sea as a do it.

      Nice Kams, Nuno

I've not smoked in the house for about eight months now. I used to be able to have both patio doors open and let the sexy scent drift out, but my wife, since pregnant, abhores the waft

I catch some puro pleasure sitting out back under our porch, but weather wise this will be short lived as we approach winter. A drive is good for me in the absence of the porch. Looks like I'll be doing a lot of driving

      EDIT to get on topic
Like most, there's plenty of swirling action going on whilst smoking but I haven't mastered the nasal retro-exhalation yet. Don't get me wrong, I can exhale smoke through that particular orifice but not without taking a lung full which is strong, cigar wise.

Mostly smoke in our conservatory, but I will be upgrading to my own summerhouse/smoking den very soon. So I will be in the garden at all times of the year, gonna decorate and set it up as my study too. I try to take my time on a smoke, swirling around the mouth and tasting and exhaling slowly and through the nose on ocassions, I tend to have a drink whilst puffing but lately Ive been just smoking with no accompliment.

          Allsorts!

I like a light smoke in the morning with a cup of tea or coffee, nothing too big though, maybe a Corona or pet Corona.I like peace and quiet in the morning when I am smoking and I like to take my time and enjoy the experience.

I will smoke sometimes a Robusto or Corona Gorda in the afternoon depending on what i have planned for the day.

In the eveningi enjoy a larger vitola and something with a bit of a kick strength wise, normally I will have a little refreshment to wash it down.

Looking forward to indulging in my new found appreciation of mojitos as well when I get home.

            Nice thread Kam,

I usually, like whisky also does have a smaller lighter cigar in the morning nothing too strong before work.

Lunch time will be something like a robusto medium strengthed.

After dinner I will enjoy a really nice big full bodied cigar.

Though that is on a good day.

Only in the garden or in the conservatory ..... totally banned inside since she gave up the Silk Cut ..... have been walkies wi' a few, but living in suburbia anyone out strollin' too slowly an' without a dog looks suspect an' likely to cause twitchy mobiles.

Favourite is in the morning wi' a strong black coffee an' a square of dark chocolate. Today was a Fonseca KDT. Tonight maybe a Montecristo 2 after dinner .... dunno!

It's slowly becoming a ritual for me. I have an office at home (for my photography) with a comfy chair, and my usual ritual is glass or 4 of brandy or cognac, some form of cigar (obviously!) and usually a lot of photoshop work, with Rachmaninov on in the background, Piano concerto 3 is a favourite .

I like to hold and swirl the smoke, make the stick last...we pay enough for them!

I prefer to enjoy my cigars outside on a walk in the countryside or with the dog. Often too in the garden during the summer evenings with a nice single malt.

I tend to hold the smoke for a bit before blowing it out. As Chris says above, we pay enough for them to might as well enjoy them to the max.

Can't ever smoke them inside. I don't think everyone would appreciate the smell, plus i think the smell never leaves, kind of like cigarettes. My fiance would kill me!

I love smoking a cigar with a dr. pepper for some reason. Or a IBC rootbeer. Don't knock it till you try it!

Dr. Pepper works really well I think. Never heard of this IBC rootbeer stuff though?

Generally I'm in the porch with my laptop, or driving. I prefer the driving because it's a more comfortable space but it means I can't concentrate on the cigar as much.

I generally keep the smoke in my mouth for a few seconds, then exhale half through my nose, then blow the rest out my mouth. I've got into the habit of 'nosing' every time just because sensually I get so much more from each puff.
