    Deano

I used to copy the EMBED code of a video and drop that straight into a new post box. The video would appear straight away in a post.

Why doesn't that code transfer work any more, mate? The code babble itself comes up on the screen instead of the video clip.

If the YouTube wrap is used from the list above, the video doesn't come up in a small version. It's too big.

    Life's mysteries, eh?...

put the code after http://www.youtube.com/watch?v= into [YOUTUBE] [/YOUTUBE ] tags, without the space at the end

      eg:

If the video is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TNL7evhhoU you would use:

      [YOUTUBE]1TNL7evhhoU[/YOUTUBE ]

I think I did just that earlier today.
I don't understand why the previous way no longer does the trick...

I believe Deano disabled HTML in posts, so that's why the old code doesn't work.

The other vBulletin forum I use is the same, you have to use the [YOUTUBE] BB code to embed a video. Confused the shit out of me at first!

                Cheers.

                I'll live.

But I remember posting near the start of this forum that the system here was the best on any forum I'd ever been on.

All of the others still require wanky cutting, pasting and so on.

It ain't no major faff, but it will be one I have to check back for whenever I embed.

People still ask for help with inserting pictures on here from time to time. I thank you boys above for the patience you have displayed to me even as I did to those who needed snap counsel.

                Big fucking deal.

                Amen.

HTML was disabled due to mis-use..but I say lets have it back(as it IS better) and those who MIS-USE are told so...
