  • Christmas Present Thoughts

I know this guy and I want to make a special present but I can't decide between Cohibas and Ramon Allones...

ok I'll be honest the guy is me... Maybe you have thoughts about my conundrum and can help, or maybe you happen to have a similar issue and want to share it... after all, planning purchases is almost as much fun as receiving & smoking them in the end.

Now I've purchased so much this year that I decided to restrict myself to one last box in 09. But I just can't decide.

Cohiba Sig IV or RA Celestiales Finos?

Only recently have I discovered how much I like the Cohiba profile. I used to shun the marca because I thought it overpriced, and loud. I smoked through a box of Robustos some years ago but was less impressed than most Cohiba lovers. But meanwhile I have realized that I love the Siglo line. I've had IIs, IIIs, IVs and would love to get a box of IVs. BUT I missed good offers and now a box would be 290$.

The other thing would be the RA REs, Celestiales Finos, which I don't know. I have read mixed reviews but I think at the price (240$) one couldn't go wrong. I have 3 boxes of other RAs though and not a single Cohiba in my stock.

    So what should I do...

    RA

Personally I think the entire RA range is underated by a lot of folks, so I would opt for them in the first instance.

          I like you.
I've only smoked ONE Cohiba (and that was plugged) so I am unable to realistically help you in your choice. Are the RAs limited edition? If so, go for them, as you can get the Cohibas later...

For a gift, I'd be inclined to lean heavily towards the Cohiba V. They are consistently smooth, elegant smokes.

If they end up in your humi, the RA CF might be too hard to resist.

                          Cheers

They're are not ready for smoking yet. You're gonna need at least a couple years of age on these. My friend and I almost got our faces blown off, huge nicotine hit.
