  • Cuban Mini's

Just ordered the mini 4 pack from cgars, consists of a pack of 10 of each of the following, Cohiba, Partagas, Montecristo and Romeo y julieta.

They are around 4 inches long and 23 RG

Just wondered if you guys have tried them? and any comments

    Cheers

They're ok if a little thin, Lee, the clubs are a better size, great if you're out and want to snatch a quick smoke. The construction on the mini's is a bit rougher also. I've normally always got a couple of boxes of clubs about, it's a different approach than a larger cigar, like a cigar with the speed and covenience of a cigarette.

Made from off cuts from the brands, bagged up and sent to the factory where these are made, it's the only short filler cohiba on the market! If you have time for something bigger you will be disappointed! if you get what I mean (that's clubs I mean, minis are too thin!) if you have 10 mins and are out and about, it's a shame to smoke a third of a good cigar and throw it (I don't like to dog it and re-lite personally) you can have a short filler cigar and throw half away or a club.

Yes that's the main reason why I ordered them, don't always have a spare 45 minutes to an hour, and its getting so cold at night I'm shivering half way through a robusto these days
I mainly got them to try, 22 quid for 40 is cheap enough as an experiment

I had a packet of the Cohiba Minis lying around that a friend gave me that I took to the pub the other night. It was going to be one of those evenings and I didn't want to end up having a cigarette. It did the job when I went to join the cigarette smokers and the other smokers suggested it looked much cooler than a cigarette.

When I bought them they were dry, which I believe is how they are intended to be smoked but as these had been open for some time they'd absorbed quite a lot of moisture. I reckon this has actually improved them, so I've chucked the rest of the box in my NC tupperdor...

I smoke Cohiba Minis all the time (get them at Waitrose much cheaper than CGars) with hardly any problems. Partagas too when I get the are no-problem smokes. I recommend both.

The Montes and Romeos I've tried, and were almost to the stick an absolute waste of time and money, just pluged after pluged, after pluged minigar. A better bet than these two is La Paz. About half the price and you CAN smoke them.

There's also a Punch Mini (20's) available. But not in the UK as yet.

The Club sizes are better smokes. But, nearly double the price!
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

i had some of those cohiba minis before and thought they were alright. its a very small cigar so dont expect too much from it. i used to keep a pack of hoyo excalibur minis on hand for short smokes and found that i liked em pretty well. in fact i think when a cigar gets that small.....its kinda hard to get a real honest opinion sometimes. ducados makes a cigar like this too. i have only seen these things in miami florida. at a cuban restaurant called versailles. wish i had bought more that one pack as it was a great mini cigar. i think they are made somewhere in spain.
