Hello from Denmark!

Hi all, just wanted to say hello - found this site while surfing for experiences with certain Swiss retailers, and found the site so friendly and informative, that I found it mandatory to join this European community
Until now I've frequented an American site, which I will still be, but it's a bit easier to discuss retailers and CCs on a European board ..

I'm 33 years of age (at the moment), living in Denmark with my wife and 8-month-old daughter. Enjoying cigars, rum, movies and life in general. Own half of a company that does all kinds of commercial work - be it homepages, online advertising, television and radio commercials - you name it ..

Welcome! Where does the name Bogner come from?

thanks! without going into too much detail (as I don't remember all the details) - the name is derived from the German 'Bognare' which I believe meant something like 'bowman' - the reason I remember that is because there's a bow in our family crest (nothing fancy though! )
there's also something with some French relation to the huegenots .. but that I don't recall the story of ..

and I'm proud to be the first Danish BOTL if that is the case!

Bognor = Bogner but still a crazy name I guess I need an explanation on the Prince of Wales comment??

liking Denmark too (not digging the rainy weather though not good for cigarsmoking) - the pickled herring is one of the weirdest lunch traditions, but it's darn good paired with aquavit (or Snaps as we call it ..)

Oddly enough, my mother's side of the family are descended from the Huguenots. Even more oddly enough, I drank aquavit for the first time last weekend. Interesting taste-not sure I could drink loads of it. I put a little review on my blog. Is it meant to be drunk without a mixer?

hehe weird coincidence you drink aquavit straight up in 4cl glasses - ice cold is preferred, but purist frown upon that and drink at room temperature - that way it goes straight to jugular .. we drink it mainly at christmas time, or at bigger lunches through the year - and that's more than enough for me ..
