  • Amazing guy and generosity.

Ok, so a little while ago I was chatting on a thread about some cigars. A few days later LeeDub informs me he has arranged for me to receive a mystery sampler. These two events seem totally unrelated, the sampler a surprise.

Weeks pass. I send LeeDub a message to let him know that I had not received anything, just in case he was awaiting a thank you message but thought I was being rude and ignorant. He laughs and says I am not being at all rude and that he is bouncing the sample off himself but it is part of a larger order that has still not arrived. I thank him and feel a little less awkward about having seemingly chased HIM up about HIS offer of generosity.

Three days ago he messages me to say he has sent the sampler and that it will be with me the next day, he as used guaranteed 24hr delivery.

The postman is useless and fails to ring the doorbell the next day, he just left a missed parcel card in the postbox. I almost trash the car twice on ice to get to the sorting office and get the parcel, it must be done though, I cannot ignore such an effort from another person a minute longer.

I get the parcel, FAR bigger than I was expecting and open it in the car. HOLY COW!

One of the threads I had been on was about the CAO Soprano and wanting to try the Tony Soprano ultra limited edition. What can I say LeeDub, I have NO CLUE why you should pic grumpy old me to be your choice of person to make his week but UTTER THANKS. For good measure he also put in a H. Upmann LE 2009 Magnum 48. I would post a pic but most of you know what that looks like already. Merry Xmas and Happy New Year LeeDub, and all of you.

I know I do not deserve such generosity from the likes of LeeDub, G-man, RokkitSci for humi help, Larrysputnik for Bolivar help, all of you who hit me with the international bombing, Celsis and SeanP both for RP sampling help, and so many more. You guys have made being out of work this year and hard up so much more pleasant that I cannot begin to put it into words. Every time new sticks arrive I have a huge smile. If I have not mentioned your name, you are not forgotten, I have a list of who has done what, I will reciprocate when circumstances change and please do not feel sore at me for not singling you out. I mention only the most recent otherwise it would be such a LONG, LONG list.

Thanks to you all, god, this is mushy! If anybody asks, I never wrote any of this.
