What cigar did you smoke with it?

My girlfriend's parents bought me a bottle of this for Christmas. Still not sure what I think of it yet as I'm still relatively new to single malts and as such tend to be going for the peatier ones.

Yeah quite like Glen Moray, not my favourite Speyside though... Although it is far better with a cigar!

          hey daverave999,
if you're new to single malts, i'd recommend the bushmills 16 year old single malt, it's been matured in bourbon, sherry and port casks!!! i found it pairs exceptionally well with partagas cigars (i suppose it'll pair well with any medium to full bodied cigars, like bolivar)! tescos are doing a great deal on it, ?35 a bottle (70cl), ?10 cheaper than the distillery! they're also doing a fantastic deal on the jack daniels single malt, ?33, ?10 cheaper than anywhere else!!! the macallin 10 year old is great value, at ?28 a bottle!!!

          hope this helps,

          alex

I smoked a Rocky puro , but i'd smoke any cigar with alcohol . Though not my favorite single but damn good for the money. Glen Moray, and i always add a dash of water.

I've always thought of Glen Moray as bit of a budget malt but very pleasant to drink never the less.

As an alternative try the Tesco or Sainsburys own brand malts. I've tried their Speyside and Highland varieties (not their Islay - not my thing) and are excellent value.

In fact, I'm sure the Tesco ones won a blind taste test against some of the big name brands - see link below....

Interesting link there Gordon. It spurred me into finally buying a signed copy of the Whisky Bible!
