Does anyone have any opinions on, or experience of, the Oliva Series O/Series V/Special Series V Perfecto please?

    Oliva is a wonderful brand.

The Series V are a wonderful complex smoke, worth every $.

The series O are a nice smoke as well, not as complex as the Series V, but tasty and cost less.

I have yet to try the Master Blends III, but I have one waiting to be sampled. I will let you know about that one later on.

I agree. As far as mid level NC's these are good, especially the V. They are not great, or even very good. They are one dimensional smokes...worth 5-7$ but not much more.

Must say, I was surprised too. Thanks for the input chaps, I've some deciding to do.

Would Raven like to possibly suggest an alternative?

I've gotta be able to get it in a perfecto though (I'm getting hot over this vitola)

I like the "O" and the "V," especially the "V". I could do without the "G," but that's purely my taste.

Completely agree with the dawg. Love the V's!

FWIW, the Georges Reserve, contrary to popular belief -- not grown in my back yard and rolled on the thigh of a 14-year old virgin, is made by Oliva.

Oliva is a beautiful brand in my opinion. It reeks quality, and even the cigars seem quality , they burn great and have nice ashes. The one's i've smokd have never been plugged or crappy.

And Georges Reserve is the best conneticut going

Agree on the Oliva. They make an outstanding Lancero.

I'm leaning towards the O, as opposed to V, (price dictating this one sadly)

This all fits in with my SIL visiting the Big A next month and her bringing these back for me, so decisions must be made soon.

I've also started thinking about the Cusano LXI perfecto/preferido (loving the appearance of these) and am going to resample one of their robustos in the humi tomorrow.

Anything by Pete Johnson. I really like the ambos mundos line of his, or cabiguan (tatuaje goes without saying...).

I don't mean to disparage Oliva too much, but I stand by the one dimensional comment...JMHO. They are sort of a baseline for decent NC's but no better. I think they are priced rightly, 5-7$ for a robusto.
