  • The Cigar as a continuing symbol of Wanton Expenditure

I imagine in the current climate there will be a lot of reports like these doing the rounds:

    http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-sto...name_page.html

    It's always been like this.

If folk smoke one cigar on a company night over Christmas - as many of my professional mates do - why is that seized upon as wanton expenditure?

If they smoke ten cigarettes during the company ball, does that make it acceptable?

OK - The cigar is always seen as a capitalist's big burn, but where's the fun going?

Well we had a gig for barclays pulled earlier this year because of all that and just had five pulled in January with RBS!

However gigs with receivership lawyers are up! lol

If Churchill had taken the same attitude as Barclays then we would all be wearing leather trousers with bullet heads and duelling scars.

Drew is your band made up of dopplegangers of slightly more famous people?? i far as i can make out in the line up of the five of you wearing white you've got :- Brigitte Nielsen , Jake Shears(scissor sisters), Roy Keane, you aka Dave Stewart and hard to make out at the back but maybe Steven Gately.

oh and by the way watch ya head don't fall off!!
I started out with nothing and i've still got most of it left - Seasick Steve

We all have ways of spending that little bit extra at the end of the month.

Some on cars, some on coin collecting, some on computer parts.

Mine's on cigars. Fuck it, I say.
