  • What's your sport? What's your team?

I'm not a huge sports fan, but like to know who supports what and wondered if people would share...

I'm a spectator and not an active player any more since injuring my back. I used to play rugby quite a bit - no 8 - and have enjoyed going to see a few internationals at Twickenham over the years.

My football teams are a bit dodgy. Ipswich and Watford.

I used to be good at field events in athletics, and also not a bad swimmer.

I prefer to walk along the sea-front and enjoy a good cigar these days.

I'm passionate about music more than sport.

    Anyone else?

P.S. I'll hopefuly be uploading a few delta blues videos and a few cigar review videos soon, to youtube, so long as I can get the webcam sorted out

      Sporting Modesty

On the subject of sport I play badminton 2/3 times a week, tend though to wind my fellow players up as I glide effortlessly around the court. I get the usual criticism levelled at me which is Gabriel you are not trying hard enough. However I had coaching previously from an Olympic badminton coach in France, so he taught I more technical aspects of the game and how to construct points. Maybe it also helps that I played chess hence strategy would be used to outwit my opponents. Beyond the racquet caused I finished recently a set of golfing lessons, however the artic weather makes golf a tad difficult these days.

Badminton is the sport I'd take up if I had the chance. Aside from that I normally just go the gym, watch footie and cricket - supporting the local sides, Col U and Essex.

I used to do endurance racing, but it really took it out of me...knees were shot etc, so now apart from a couple of sessions at the gym every week and jumping around on stage i'm a lazy bugger.

I like all sports apart fom horse racing, boring.

Played football northwest counties, and rugby league north west counties, switched to leaue due to tripping over too many handbags in the changing rooms.

don't mind union (kick and clap) but i'm a working man, and league is the working mans game.

soccer, normally played up front, occassionally midfield, played in nets for a sunday league side as well, in rugby in the pack as a forward (none of the creative positions in rugby!) played league mainly for the social aspects, good set of lads (no 'superstars', no t**ts either) can't be doing with the stereotypical rugby lot.
