  • Kuba Kuba

Hi Guys, anybody ever smoked these? Any info on them or any of the other Acids?

I've had pretty much all the acid range, they are very, very different. not everyones cup of tea. I believe the Kuba is a huge seller in the states.

I started my cigar career off with some of those, I wont shout too loudly about them as people on here will get a bit upset as they are not "cuban" and have a flavour.
I sent some out a while back to which dave did a bit of a review if you search around.

All of the cigars in the Acid line are 'infused' cigars. Like Boss Hog said, not everyone's cup of tea. I personally don't like them but sometimes will smoke one of the Java's (another Drew Estates line) after a meal with a cup of coffee in a social setting just to switch things up a bit.

They are not a delicate cigar as the flavors literally smack you in the face if not club you over the head. IIRC the Kuba Kuba is very floral and if not smoked you can give it to your lady to perfume her knicker drawer! Give it a try, it might strike you differently then it did me...
Trying is the first step toward failure.

        Not my cuppa

About a year ago, I finally had to satisfy my curiosity about Acid cigars and invested in a sampler tin.

About the only one I really liked was the tiny, cigarette-sized C-note; however, they were ridiculously overpriced to be seriously considered.

The Kuba Kuba would have been a relatively nice smoke if it weren't for the fact that the wrapper was so heavily infused with something ghodzawful sweet that prevented you from tasting anything else.

IMHO, Acid is not a "real" cigar. More for breaking out during a party where everyone is already several sheets to the wind and you've managed to talk the wimmenfolk into trying a stogie.

Yes, I liked the c-note as well for a real quick smoke.
The spicyness in such a small thing really made my lips tingle.
Coincidently that was exactly what one women said the morning after my last party.

You might want to get yourself to the clinic Boss.

I had a couple from Boss Hog. Not to my taste but certainly an experience. They are good at what they do. I'd certainly recommend at least trying one.

Beg to differ, Chief Porker, but as she was relating the tale to me the very next evening in the hot tub of my limo, her words were more to the extent:

"Oh, look! A penis. Only smaller."

Out of all the so called flavoured / infused cigars out there the acid range is probably the best.
Followed by something like havana honeys.

They are gross to smoke as a first cigar of the day. If you want to pick one up for the end of the night because your taste buds are shot and you need to wake them this will do it

They are not my cup of tea. And you cannot store them anywhere where you don't want other sticks (and the cedar) picking up their perfume.
