  • Zurich Airport

Leaving Zurich tomorrow and wondered if anyone had any experience of the Duty Free at the airport? I know that prices in Geneva Duty Free are pretty keen and wondered whether Zurich might be the same?

    Advice gratefull received!

Are you going on from there into Germany at all once you have been into zurich? my experience of southern germany (just over the border) are there are lots of tobacannists about. I was in southern Germany last summer and cigars were a lot cheaper than in the UK about the same price if not cheaper than the airport.. Box of 10 Romeo y Julieta No2's. 10 in a box were 30 Euros, Box of 10 Montecristos no4's 40 euros a box.. if you like others like i like niceraguan and honduran they were cheaper. I came home with lots!!

Nothing great in the Airport. A couple of Davidoff shops that only sell boxes or 3 packs (no singles). Prices are similar to what you will get in the town... So do your shopping before you get to the airport!

As yiorgos said, the airport doesn't have anything you won't find in town, but still it is a lot cheaper than the UK.

You can see prices and what is available at the largest of the duty free shops of the airport here.

There is one tabacconist in town which I have never had a chance to visit but has a very good reputation locally (at least according to a friend who lives in Zurich) and is called Tabak Laeldi, home page here.

Thanks for replies. As mentioned plenty of Davidoff on sale and a (relatively) good collection of Cubans.

Was looking out for a box of JL #2 and they were priced at about ?170, which I thought a little pricey compared to what is available on our favourite online retailers.

Ended up buying a three pack of HdM Petit Robusto for ?23. Again possibly a little on the high side, but they were so polite in there I did not want to leave empty handed!
