  • H&F Cigars & Rum, London 09 02

Just been alerted to this by a twitter link:

"Eight Moorgate will be hosting their first prestigious master classes on Tuesday 9th February 2010.

Hunters and Frankau will be presenting the Cohiba Siglo VI Tubos. This shall be accompanied by four different Rums; Havana 3 Year Old,Havana Especial, Havana Barrel Proof and Havana 15 Year Old. These shall be presented by Meimi, the Brand Ambassador from Havana Club.

Upon arrival guest will receive a Havana Club Mojito along with a selection of canapes. The master class will run for approximately two hours from 7pm during which time you will have the opportunity to taste, discuss and learn about Havana Club Rums and the Cohiba Siglo VI Tubos. You can enjoy your cigar on the heated lounge on the 6th floor terrace.

Tickets for this event are ?30 per person. Spaces are limited and available on a first come first served basis."

?30 looks decent value for a V1 & several rums. Unfortunately I can't make it but I thought some of you might be interested.

    Here's the relevant link:

Looks like it might be a members only event, but worth asking, if interested.

    Good spot Eugene!

I'm not a Rum man myself but I know a few that are and as you say, that's good value.

I knew the 15 year old was expensive - just looked it up on the net & it's well over ?100 a bottle, and the Barrel aged about ?40. I reckon you'd probably drink more than ?30's worth of rum alone.

Hmmm.... might be talking myself into this, if I can.

Gotta say this looks like a better deal than Monday 8th but cannot do both. Be interesting to see how the terrace compares to Ten Manchester St. Shame there is no space between the events ...H and F over to you?
