          La Casa Del Habanos

Went to La casa del habanos in wardour street last night was gonna go friday but ended up going last night with a mate.
It was ok, had a walk in humidor wich i bought a Partagas EL 2008 serie D No5for ?15 (& got a bunch of party 5's coming in next week too!) but wanted to try the smoking room out & the New party No5, the room was next to the actual bar/restaraunt & was quite small.
I wouldnt hurry back there but was a nice experience.

Well, I'm a little late, but here's my review. I met up with my friend outside at 4pm. When we went in it was relatively quiet; there was only one gentleman there and one member of staff; both were smoking. We were both warmly welcomed; Marc especially so because he was a regular. We were then guided into the humidor where we each given recommendations to try which reflected our own personal tastes. I chose a Romeo and Julieta churchill;for its mild to medium flavour. I had a bit of indigestion that day so I didn't want anything too strong. The cigar was, to start with, very smooth tasting, and not too harsh; but it was only when I got closer to the middle, that the cigar
really came into it's own; by offering such a rich bouquet of flavor. It also had a good draw and burned evenly. In all, I have to conclude that the cigar had a very pleasing taste from beginning to end. Anyway I digress, we both thought that La Casa is a wonderful and warmly intimate little venue. It had a great atmosphere, the staff were engaging and friendly, knowledgable and to top it all off, they were fellow aficionados! I'm glad that places like this are still permitted and are still so popular. We spent a good hour and a half smoking and chatting idly away (and sipping the mineral water); in comfort and oblivious to the hustle and bustle outside. It was about half an hour after our arrival that the place began to fill. By the time we had finished, the ten seater boutique was full, and the air heavy with the thick fog of heavenly havana. Sheer bliss! So would I go again? Is the pope a catholic? Highly recommended from the both of us.
