Have just managed to book myself a business trip to Barcelona next week and wondered if anyone had any hints or tips on where to go to buy cigars or good places to drink?

    Cheers

Using the search would have netted you this gem.

Gimeno is opposite the entrance to La Boqueria market on La Rambla. Highly recommended!

        Quality.

Some good bargains to be had in Barcelona. The Spanish get some quality cigars.

            Gimeno's definitely...

Walk into the shop and walk directly to the back, turn right and you will see a roped off set of stairs...

This is where you want to go, all the Cubans and premium spirits/Champagne are downstairs...

            Cheers, HabanoSy

Don't know of any place to recommend, but Spain should have the best prices for Cuban Cigars.

Goose, I went for the first time about 3 years ago and it is the most fantastic city. I've never been anywhere like it.

A city with a beach (nothing like it in Britain) and wonderful night life with everyone heading out as we were going to bed.

You must go, you won't regret it. All that and Cubans.

Well, I went to Gimeno and despite some pretty horrendous first impressions (it comes across as a cheap gift shop), once you get downstairs it is amazing. It has a small humidor upstairs behind the main counter where they sell a great range as singles. When you ask for a box, they lead you downstairs to a walk-in humidor with a large selection.

In the end I bottled it a little and, as the prices were not as competitive as those offered by site sponsor, I ended up buying three singles; and Epi #1, a H.Upman Magnum 50 and an H.Upman Magnum 48 - total of €29.

If I went back to Barcelona I think I would walk around the city a little more, but Gimeno is definitely worth a visit.

Thanks to all those who recommended it!
