  • Who are your favourite artists?

I love loads of artists. I'll be back with more.

My favourite contemporary artist is Rachel Whiteread.
I love a piece of work by her called HOUSE.
    Here it is:

Here is some information about what she tries to do in her work:

The one and only 'Salvador Dali'

Just one of many paintings that I could look at for hours is-

    The hallucinogenic Toreador - 1970

    But also many, many more!

Hieronymus Bosch, Francis Bacon, Aubrey Beardsley and Erte for me.

And of course George Petty (and Alberto Vargas) of "petty girl" fame.

Rolf Harris just kidding, not really into my artists and am not an arty type person, however, and just to provoke a friendly debate, I tend to like what I call "traditional" art, ie, paintings, sculpture etc etc, I fail to see how putting a cow or a sheep in a box is art, but then that's just my opinion and I'm sure other people love that sort of stuff, as I said just a friendly debate.

Good taste my friend. I must agree with you, although Andy Warhol tops my list as of right now.

I second the choice of Dali. For me it's Geopoliticus Child Watching the Birth of the New Man.

On the more Classical side, I like a nice Turner.

                  Here's The Fighting Temeraire.

Ugly steam tug pulls a redundant sailing ship to its grave.

                  Grand. Sad.

                  Clear what was intended.
