  • Punch D'Oro UK Regional Edition

I recently grabbed a box of Punch D'Oro UK Regional Editions and sent out one each to the mods to review too, so expect plenty of feedback on this cigar in this thread.

It's easily the best cigar I've had this year.

    Appearance 14/15:
Darker wrap, lovely veins, perfect construction and my favourite torpedo shape.

    Flavour 24/25:
Great flavours from the get go. Reminds me strongly of a Partagas P2, but where a P2 comes into it's own half way down, this has the magic throughout the cigar.

I think oranges and lemons when I smoke this and plenty of creamy caramel, bliss. It's an incredibly sweet cigar.

    Smoking characteristics 24/25:
Plenty of smoke, long ash consistent burn, firm build. The draw is also perfect, with a tunnel of air coming through the perfectly constructed cigar.

    Overall impressions 34/35:
Get one now, get a box. This is a P2+ even the first inch is a dream, all the way to the nub. I can't get enough of them.
The box is lovely, with a cute yellow ribbon that goes through the box and attaches to either side.

    Total out of 100: 96

As they're UK only you can only get them locally (or Gibraltar :P) ?19.99 each at Cgars Ltd http://www.cgarsltd.co.uk/punch-seri...ar-p-6443.html

Maybe you and the mods should do a video review like those ozzie blokes from Friends of Habanos!

Video reviews, I don't have enough to say on here in a review let alone video! Might be worth getting some lads together to do it one day though. We have enough characters!

...Steve do it, you will NOT regret it.

I go along with Dean's review. The feel and tone of the cigar is very Partagas P2 - the ash appears very similar, too - and the taste is sweet, deep and top volume.

This cigar has great strength. The smell when matched alive was out of this world.

My lounge here smells wonderful - and not too overpowered - after I've been away for 90 minutes or so. A classy cigar all round.

The residual taste in the mouth is warm and sweet-smoky.

I'd likely go along with senor serious's review....but apparently some of us (ahem) modulators are not worthy (e.g., )

Smoked mine last night and I have to agree it was pretty good!

Very steadily building throughout the smoke-not overly strong until the very end, but still a rich deep taste. Reminded me a little of the RyJ Duke if I'm honest, with what I call the 'normal' Punch dried fruit not coming in until the final third. Had that almost perfumed aroma that the aged tobacco in the Sublime and Duke has. Very nice! Looked gorgeous btw, very oily and consistent colouring. Draw was spot on, and the aroma was just SUPERB.

With a few more years on it to take the kick out of the end this will be very good IMO.

Sounds very good indeed Dave. Might fire mine up over the next couple of days.

Last night I went to the casino and watched the Penguins playoff game while enjoying a Punch D' Oro. It was an incredible smoke.

It had an uneven burn at first but really opened up about an inch into it. Right around that time I pooped my pants, it was so good. Not to gross any of you out, but it was a bit mushy and warm and I kind of like that. So I finished smoking my Punch and enjoyed it to the very nub of the torpedo cap. However, at that time it was now mushy and cold and the walk to the restroom was uncomfortable.

Overall, the Punch is a whopping 97! I loved it!!
