    hello all

great to find this site. Started cigars in 2006, dived straight in and smoke 1 to 3 a day ever since - i luv em, but the cost is, well, expensive. I smoke cubans, luv cohiba, partagas, monte's, hoyo, upmann oh all of em - one of best cigars ever smoked was a La gloria no 2 from 2001 - amazingly smooth and full of taste. Really like robustos. Used to travel a lot so bought all cigars in dubai duty free, great prices - i remember about ?100 for 10 siglo VI, those were the days. I used to visit dunhill's when in london - maybe some of you used to smoke there, always a great atmosphere and mighty fine service from Howard. Now live on west coast in scotland, and if in london smoke at la casa in wardour street (think that's right address). It's so bad since the new law, I luv to smoke with other cigar peeps and chat. Anyway that's me in brief, hope to engage in the banter and get to know many of you - todays smoke was a cuaba generosos, good taste, good burn nice......

      what's a good smoke?

Thanks for the welcome Robusto - I think you're my favorite type of cigar. I'm always trying new smokes, usually cuban as I've never had a good non-cuban smoke yet. But in these times of "I've not got enough money and all my bills seem to be going up" I frequently try cheaper cubans and less well known brands. The reality seems to be, to my taste: cohiba, partagas, montecristo, hoyo, upmann and trindad - all at ring guage 50 and above - can't be beat for flavour and smoke. I had a R and J petit corona today, it was ok, but i knew i'd prefer say a hoyo petit robusto or a No 2, or a D4 or a RASS. Tell me there's a great cuban out there that I've missed and it's less expensive! I'm dreaming eh?
