  • Glenlivet 15 yr Old

I cracked a bottle of this on wednesday past.
George & JG Smiths Glenlivet 15yr Old 57% vol
I've now had a couple of nips from it, what a nice Whisky, so much going on with it
Tangy citrus (marmalade) with a hint of the sea, chocolate tones with a nice warmth spice and strenght to it.
A great sipper of a Whisky went perfect with a Bolivar Royal Corona

Fantastic! I have a bottle of the more recent 15 year old downstairs. Great dram although I'm sure your bottle has come of age in a way mine hasn't!

Might have to indulge myself in a Highland Park 18 later now I've read this...

Can I recommend a good malt for you? Try Ledaig. It's made in Tobermory on Mull and is delicious although hard to find.

Another two would be Ardbeg from Islay and Scapa from the Orkneys. Delicioso!

Tried a Limited Release of Ledaig years ago and I do remember it was glorious stuff; but as you state not the easiest thing to get hold of.
