Bit of a trek and do we know what the "event" is?

    Never tried the place.

OK, I have spoken to John Deegan the manager and booked in.
Its a small event (maximum 20 people) ?15 a head which goes towards a cigar of your choice.
A representative from Dalmore Whisky will be there with samples of his wares.

I shall be driving over from Barnet so if anyone wants a lift from this area (and to drink my whisky) give me a ring.

The Rocky Patel Rep will also be there.

If the Dalmore Cigar Malt is on offer, and I hope it would be, it is an excellent accompliment with the likes of Partagas, Bolivar or Cohiba IMO.

What an excellent way to while away an election afternoon before bedding in for a night of swing-o-meter-ing...

Wish I could do likewise. Will have to settle for a cigar by the water (fingers crossed for good weather...)

Love to, love to meet the RP guy but the petrol on top of the ticket and having to leave work early to get there, won't happen. PLEASE do tell us all about it after though.

                            I've just bought my ticket.

Havana House is a lovely little shop, used to be jointly owned by AJ, & normally has some interesting specials (my bro got us a couple of RA Celestiales Finos to see in the New Year with - what a smoke!).

It's the nearest specialist stogie store to my home, although I don't shop there often, but then I don't shop often anywhere. It's in what used to be Windsor Station that later became Madame Tussaud's Royalty & Empire exhibition before becoming a shopping centre late in the 90's (? I think). The centre is covered by a Victorian glass roof, befitting a railway concourse which was great for cigar events in the "old days". Unfortunately the whole centre is now deemed to be "indoors" so we're going to have to smoke our samples rather cosily within the confines of the shop itself, although the demonstrations etc will be outside, so I understand.

BTW it's easily accessible from London via train - either from Waterloo or Richmond on the Reading line which arrives at Windsor & Eton station 5 minutes walk away, or from Paddington via the shuttle train from Slough that is the only service still using the old Windsor station.
