  • CAO La Traviata

This is a big cigar and looks the part. At 7x54, you are cerrtainly aware that something is in your mouth!

The cigar looks great and has a medium brown wrapper that is quite veiny and springy to the touch. It smells earthy and slightly sweet.

On first light, it appeard very cedary and mild. I always inhale the first couple of drags and this was achieved without ripping my lungs out. After this though, the cigar matured in to a lovely full bodied smoke.

I really enjoyed this and at times it reminded me of the D4, with it's taste and strength.

This is not a cigar for the beginner as it it's strong and lasts at least an hour, but it's certainly one that I would try again.

    91/100!

7 x 54 would last me a good two hours atleast I think! I manage to make 5 x 50s last an hour and fifteen!

Nice review mike ! Seems not to many cigars can say they live up to their hype.
But I found the 5 X 50 very enjoyable and full of flavors unlike most CAOs .

I have to admit - i was extremely dissapointed by the the La Traviata. Perhaps our batch was bad? I much prefer the Cx2.

CX2 is a great cigar and totally differant from the La Traviata . In time give the La Traviata another go jim it could have been an off day for taste.

Yeah, I guess I'm a bit of a turbo smoker, lol! I tend to smoke quickly and only slow down when some heat is generated!
