  • new = yes... in the humidor = no

Thought Id upload my first delivery for the summer ahead after a kind of hibernation period from cigars over the colder months. Unfortunately I don't have access to the humidor that I was using at the moment and the few sticks that were still in there will just have to sit and age for a bit longer.

So I've taken the opportunity to upgrade to a slightly larger humidor, which unfortunately hasn't arrived yet. So I've had to resort to drastic measures as you will see below....

    Any way onto the delivery...

    From left to right:
    1 x 3x3 Churchill
    1 x La Rica Churchill
    2 x Romeo y Julieta No.2
    2 x Punch Double Corona
    2 x Punch Churchill
    2 x Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill
2 x Partagas Petit Corona Especial
    2 x Partagas Mille Fleurs
    1 x H. Upmann Petit Coronas

There was also a Monticristo No.4 as well but that one was enjoyed before I got around to taking any pictures.

And now the temporary humidified bag that was supposed to tide me over until the humidor arrived (I got a bit carried away in my purchasing):

Which actually ended up taking more than I thought. I just hope my new acquisitions will be all right until their new home arrives!

Cigars are looking great, and I particularly like seeing the travel bag up close. Very handy and highly useful to have as an emergency backup. I remember smoking the La Rica churchill. A very pleasant cigar!

I would suggest getting a tupperdor--words like a charm, and does so on the cheap.

Thanks, I never had one myself. I wanted to try a few different sticks to what I have had in the past and look forward to trying it one evening.

I would for the time being but I haven't got any humidifiers... I've got loads of solution tho!

Can I just put it in an eggcup inside the tupperdor or something?

Yes but be careful not to upset the glass so I would put floral wet foam in a soap travel dish with a bunch of holes drilled in the top !

                A Fine Start!

Fine looking puros, chico...and great pics!

Hey el Perro! Why can't you take pics as good as young Andy?

(Hurumph!) I do my best virgin boy, but it's a bit difficult with no opposing thumbs.

Yes. And should be OK kept like that till your humidor arrives. You've looked after the more vulnerable sticks and the TUBOS should be fine for some fair while.

Find a nice cool drawer and keep them flat ..... or if you're really, really worried ..... smoke 'em!
If you want to, you can.
