  • So this is what a ?45 cigar looks like, eh?

This little (actually big) beauty arrived from our sponsors this morning. ?45 notes including delivery, by far the most I've ever spent on just one cigar......but I've got to say that from the look and particularly the smell, it certainly seems like it's something special. As fate would have it, this landed on my doorstep this morning ten minutes after I accepted an offer on my house for 10% above the asking price after just one day of viewings....was all I could do not to light it up straight away but if I'm gonna give it a fair crack of the whip then I'm gonna have to let it rest awhile....damn!!!

You've got a damn good reason to fire that beauty up.
Let us know how it went.

Sorry Snooky, only just saw your post and I've gone and smoked the whole thing all to myself I'm cashing in all my chips, waving goodbye to Stortford and going travelling for a while....maybe a year or two, depending on how quickly I smoke my money I'm thinking that it'd be rude not to go see Cuba while I'm at it, so I'd be interested to hear your plans.

As for the Behike 56...WOW!! That really did taste like a ?45 cigar!! It was definitely the best smoke my uncultured little palette has gotten itself round so far. From the start it was bursting with flavour but without the slightest hint of harshness...it had the strangest effect of making me feel like each puff coated my tongue with a thin layer of cream. It got stronger towards the end, thats for sure but it still never got harsh at any point. It just begged to be smoked right to the nub so I duly obliged and can happily report that as well as never getting harsh it also never got hot. I probably smoked it over 4 hours but suddenly, when I was done, I realised that despite it never feeling like an aggressive cigar, it had quietly kicked my butt. I do love it when occasionally a cigar gives me that intoxicated, slightly woozy feeling but usually I see it coming....this little beauty is an iron fist in the finest of silk gloves. I think I'm in love. If only affordable cigars could be like this.

                              All hail the Behike
