    Deano,

Just a thought after being awarded my fourth cigar(again!) for hitting 500 posts. There is a list of the top ten posters, is it possible to have a list of all members and their post counts?

Or maybe have their ranking as part of their profile details?

Not sure the benefits of this other than from an interest point of view.

    Also....

What are the post number levels for number of cigars awarded?

Here's a list of all members, sorted by post count.

I know there's a page elsewhere with the cigar : post ratio, but I think it may still be on the 'old' settings...

Good man, thanks for that. Have to admit to not even trying to find it myself. Quite bad really.

Would still be cool if the ranking could be shown on the profile details along side the number of posts when members post on a thread.

        500 Miles From LA!

Not a bad idea...would be interesting information to see at a glace. I also like the link/sort you provided in your post, senor simplesimon.

BTW - in case you haven't noticed, each members' "home page" contains stastical information, including the average number of posts/day.

Hey, el Perro! Who's been smokin' don TJ's stogie awards?

(Hurumph!) Wasn't me, virgin boy...check with your idiot brother Ray Jay.

Leave it to the T hombre to attempt a Thread Jack and shift the focus on himself.

Only problem is it could turn into a competition and speaking as someone who averages 10 posts a month I still log on pretty much everyday to read what is going on. Still I was pleased to get my 1 cigar rating.
I'm sure there are greater things in life than a fine cigar ........... but right now I can't think what they might be.

                      post counts ruin forums
if i had my way post counts would be invisible
and every post someone makes, they get a small electric shock through they keyboard. or a weasel sneaks in their humi and does a woopsie on their cigars

when i am king, post counters will be first against the wall

haha had Citizen Smith flashbacks there Las, I agree though quality rather than quantity in my view we dont want people posting just to bump up their count, seen it on other forums and really dont see the point

Then perhaps we should abandon post counts, or at least visible post counts. That way people who do post a lot, but post a lot not to boost their post counts but simply to play more of an active role, wont have to feel offended by such an insinuation.
