  • Oh baby - British Engineering at it's best

Just discovered this web page with some really tasty video of Lewis and Jenson driving the new McLaren road car.

    I'd better start saving now...

Room for a baby seat in the back then, or is it 3 seats across the front?

I used to live in Woking which is where McLaren are based. It was not uncommon to see them testing this car around the roads of Woking during the first few months of this year prior to this test in March.

Sadly I have to say that 2 seats is too many and in many cases will spoil the performance and enjoyment of this beautiful piece of automotive engineering and design.
Used to do lot of rallying and hillclimbs and still big motorsport fan, but unless its for track/competition use, I find that the added "wifeseat" has an extremely detrimental effect on performance.

Rab, I totally agree! I have a person who sits beside me whose vocabulary seems to range from "slow down" to "leadffoot" and nothing in between!

That's not a response, not even in the same country let alone the same class. That's just a jumped up production car, a fancy Toyota at the end of the day. The McLaren is a ground up super car.
